DDNSServ is fully compatible with SQL Server 2000. The fastest Database server in the world. This enables DDNSServ to operate efficiently with very large User Bases. And in cases were you find your servers resources consumed by web traffic, SQL Server can make multi server provisioning much simpler as well.

The following steps will need to be completed in order to use SQL Server 2000. Some knowledge of SQL Server is required to complete these steps. Should you have any questions regarding SQL Server setup please contact support or view the additional documents.

1. A backup database is located in the database directory. You will need to open the SQL Server Administrator and restore the database into SQL Server.

2. If you had previously setup DDNSServ to use the standard database, and have existing users in the old database format. You will need run a database import from the SQL Server Administrator to copy existing user information. 

3. Edit the global.asa file found in the Copy to Web Root directory, and replace the existing User Name and Password with the SQL User account you wish to use to connect to the DDNSDATA database

4. Copy all files found in the Copy to Web Root directory to the web root you are using to host DDNSServ.
